Euro NCAP presents its new protocols

This year Euro NCAP introduces new tests to address some longstanding needs in occupant protection, improve post-crash protection and promote the latest advanced driver assistance technology. Among the new protocols, a first step is taken to evaluate Driver Status Monitoring systems, designed to detect driver fatigue and distraction, as part of the Safety Assist assessment.

Phasya is glad that Euro NCAP has released a first protocol for the assessment of several features of attention assist systems such a the detection of drowsy driving. Through this protocol, Euro NCAP clearly supports the development and the use of advanced driver monitoring systems for safety improvement.
